GUIDED KAYAK FISHING TRIPS

Fishing from a kayak is unlike any other type of angling. It’s shallow draft and sleek profile affords access to areas that are simply inaccessible by any other means. While its accessibility is reason enough to grab anglers, there is nothing like the fight of a backwater striped bass that tows the boat up current, or that largemouth that jumps to eye level. The kayak experience is truly a unique way to fish. Let our experienced guides show you how to utilize kayaks to target local fresh and saltwater game fish. All gear is provided or use your own boat.

5-hour trip: $265 (up to 2 people)

Available weekends in May-June; weekdays and weekends in July-August; and weekends in September-December.

Please indicate your first choice date and an alternative, second choice; we will get back to you to confirm dates according to when the guides are available.

Freshwater kayak fishing trips
The freshwater lakes of Ocean County offer top notch fishing. Their calm waters make for a perfect destination for an individual or the whole family. Kayak fishing in Ocean County offers, world class fisheries for the beginner or seasoned angler. Join our professional guides for a fishing excursion targeting such species as largemouth bass, pickerel, trout, perch and pan fish.

Back bay saltwater trips
Little compares to the serenity of drifting through a protected tidal creek only to be interrupted by the explosive strike of a hungry striped bass.  The expansive waters of Barnegat Bay offer tremendous fishing opportunities that are, in some cases, only accessible by kayak. By drifting, trolling, wading and sight casting, the kayak angler can effectively fish productive areas in the open bay, shallow flats and tidal creeks. Marine species such as striped bass, bluefish, weakfish, fluke and more will be targeted using a combination of swimming lures, soft plastics and fresh bait.

TOURS

map Paddle around New Jersey’s bays, rivers and lakes in these kayaking tours. Bring your own day-touring or sea kayak or use one of our decked kayaks (not suitable for sit-on-top kayaks).

TOUR RATINGS:

  • Easy means that no experience is necessary. We'll start off at the launch site with a brief lesson and on the water, the agenda is determined by the group's overall ability. These tours are great for photographers, bird-watchers and, generally, anyone who wants to get outside and enjoy nature!
  • Intermediate means that some paddling experience is preferred. These tours can present us with more difficult water and weather conditions such as wind, waves and tidal currents.
  • Challenging means that we require the participant to have previous paddling instruction and experience, preferably having taken our Basic Strokes and Rescues and our Strokes and Maneuvers Refinement classes. These tours will test your endurance as well as your paddling technique on more open bodies of water and rougher conditions.
